Busy week. Multiple jobs, multiple homeowners, and a lot of fresh concrete to show for it. From full driveway pours to garage aprons to entry landings - we knocked out a solid range of flatwork this week and every single one of them got the same level of care.

Concrete flatwork sounds simple until something goes wrong. Bad drainage. Cracking edges. A slab that heaves after the first hard freeze. We've seen it all, and that's exactly why we sweat the details on every pour - proper grading, clean control joints, and a broom finish that gives you traction without looking sloppy. It's not just about looks. It's about making sure water runs where it's supposed to and the slab holds up year after year.

One of the jobs this week involved a garage apron that had completely failed - the old slab was undermined, the edge was crumbling, and the soil underneath had shifted badly. That's a hazard and an eyesore. We demoed what needed to go, prepped the base correctly, and poured a fresh slab that ties in flush and clean. Another site had a partial driveway section replacement where new concrete needed to meet existing - getting that transition right takes care and attention to elevation. We nailed it.

The entry landing work is worth mentioning too. Curved or angled pours near a front door or back entry take more setup than a straightforward rectangular slab, but the end result is a surface that fits the space and looks intentional. No jagged gaps, no uneven transitions - just solid, well-finished concrete that does its job.

Whether it's a cracked apron, a failing driveway section, or a muddy garage floor that's been put off too long - we handle it. Concrete flatwork is one of those things where doing it right the first time saves you a lot of headaches down the road.
