Not every job is a big poured driveway or a massive concrete slab. Sometimes the work is smaller - but it still has to be done right. This was one of those jobs.
During a bathroom renovation, the floor had to be opened up to get at the plumbing rough-in below. Once the new drain lines were set and everything was in place, that open section of floor needed to be patched back with concrete before the rest of the renovation could move forward. No tile, no flooring, nothing else can happen until that base is solid.
That's the part people don't always think about. Concrete flatwork shows up in a lot of places beyond driveways and sidewalks - including right there on your bathroom floor. Getting the patch level and properly finished matters a lot, because everything built on top of it depends on it.
We got the area filled, leveled, and finished clean. Fresh concrete poured right up to the existing floor, with the drain stub set and ready to go. It's not a glamorous phase of the job, but skipping it or rushing it causes real problems down the line.
This is the kind of detail work that keeps a renovation on track. Small scope, but the same standard we bring to every pour - whether it's inside or out.
