Clean Concrete Flatwork Across Driveways Walkways and Pads

We've been busy knocking out jobs and figured it was time to share some of the work. Walkways, pads, driveways - a mix of residential and outbuilding concrete across a handful of different properties. Every one of them starts the same way: solid prep work before a single yard of concrete gets poured.

Good prep is everything. That means proper grading and site leveling so the base is right, steel mesh laid in for reinforcement, and forms set tight before the pour. You skip steps here and you pay for it later - cracking, settling, uneven surfaces. We don't cut corners on the foundation of the work because that's what determines how it holds up over the next 20 years.

The variety in these jobs shows what concrete flatwork actually covers. A side-entry walkway alongside a house. A wide apron pad at the front of a pole building. A side-of-garage approach that connects cleanly to an existing drive. Each one had its own site conditions to deal with, and each one got the same level of attention from start to finish.

One thing we take seriously is the finish. Clean control joints cut at the right spacing help manage where the concrete moves, keeping the surface intact instead of cracking randomly.
